Ulnar Collateral Ligament Injury
Overuse injuries to the elbow are common in throwing athletes. Tears of the ulnar collateral ligament occur primarily in these throwing athletes – baseball pitchers and javelin thrower for example. These athletes can benefit from reconstruction of the ulnar collateral ligament – the so-called “Tommy John Procedure.”
